OMG

The garage being poisoned, the bathroom turning into an aquarium, my window full of fake snow. Can it get worse. I invited Mattis friend Johan to our house, that way (i though) i would get some time to study, and they could play along. That was how it had been during the afternoons he hade come over.
I kept suggesting they could play on the computer.
No! they didnt want to...

Oh well...

I have to check up on them...

another reason...

Another reason for me to complain about my hostfamily...
Not that actually should, because I definitely had a real luck with my family, but anyways...
They asked me to stay at home today, because they both had meetings at lunchtime. Which I'm so frustrated about. Because
1.I already payed my french classes, and I can't get back the money for the lost classes.

2.I asked them, before I registrated for 4 classes/week, if it was ok for me to take class on mondays as well. They clearly said YES!

3.Chrystel said: It should be alright for Mattis to eat at the cantin on mondays for the month that is left in school...

4.WHY do french kids HAVE TO eat at home one day a week????

5.And WHY do they need they need the wednesdays OFF???

DAMN!!!

Harry Potter paperback version?

Sunday afternoon, I went to WH Smith. I was looking for the paperback version of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. It didn't arrive yet. Which is pretty weird, because they should have released it a while ago, you would think!
Anyway, yesterday was a day of tourists.
We had 75 people on the daytour and 21 on the Montmartre tour. 55(!!!) on the Pub crawl. A huge mass of people. I wouldn't have want to do the pub crawl.
The last thing Pieter told me and Nyko was:
-Take down the sign, I don't want anymore people coming ont the Pub crawl....

Today, we had a bit less people coming. I was suppose to go to the capoeira party, but figured I wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. I think I did something weird to my muscle last time...or just a lack of training theese past months.
I bought Sputnik Sweetheart, by author Haruki Murakami. One of my favorite writers.
If I wanna be sure of buying a good book, I just go to his part of the shelf.

"No man should go through life without once experiencing healthy, even bored solitude in the wilderness, finding himself depending solely on himself and thereby learning his true and hidden strength." - Haruki Murakami-

...and

...I don't have to stay at home anymore to watch Mattis, because the teachers are going back to school. The public transportation is still a bit retarded, but there are trains going once in a while. But I just got very frustrated when everything stood still, like tuesday, and life just keep walking on the same spot for 24 hours. It makes me panic...

I got a letter from my mother...I miss home a bit, or I get nostalgic...

Nothing else more exiting to write about

Ok, I actually don't really know what I wanna write about, I just felt like typing n'import quoi...Chrystel woke me up at 7:30, and for what?..nothing! After 10 minutes she told me Mattis were too tired to go to iceskating-class...Oh, well, I went back to bed. Or I was supposed to read, but I just fell asleep.
I haven't done anything special today...
Oh, yeah, today's comment:
(mattis)-Maman, maman! on est en train de faire "poulet rôti"...
(Chrystel)-Poulet rôti? C'est quoi?
(mattis)-(He explains) Elle est comme une poulet, elle est très souple!

Ok, thanks for the compliment...

a cause de la grêve

Ok, so the teachers now decided to go on strike, as well as the hospitals, post, and judges, a cause de ca I had to stay at home and watch Mattis. Johan came over, the son of the Swedish mother, Anne.
He is cute, but very very, how could I express myself?...free to do what he wants. I personally would be ok with that, but since we’re in France (and Paris, to be exact...) I don’t think they are very used to that. I was just waiting for a comment like: C’est qui, ce ami seudois???
Anyway, the day suddenly became more calm for me, they can enjoy playing with each other and I can sit on the side, reading my magazine....

Running in the rain with my love

his strike is seriously killing me...!!!
Me and Nyko left his place in time to be in Gare du Nord the right time to catch my last train back to Neuilly Plaisance. Of course I didn’t make it with the last metro to catch my train. I couldn’t possibly have pushed myself more in to the train, TROP BEAUCOUP DE MONDE.
So me and Nyko ran from Les Halles to Gare du Nord in 15 minutes, on top of that it was pourring rain. I swear I couldn’t be in better shape. Thank you french society for making me work out the way I’ve done this past week....

walked 32 km...to get to french classes...

My feet hurts, and I’m sooo tired. I walked 16 km to get to french classes. It took me 2 hours, when it normaly takes 20 minutes with the train. I can’t stand up...
The only good thing with it, was that I kept myself warm. As soon as I got into the house I started to shiver.
But today is friday and I’m soo happy, the weekend is here!
I can’t believe how fast this week went.
It’s 5 weeks left until christmas, can’t wait to get home and see my room again!

I can always get in, but not out...!!!

Last night I was soo into the idea about rollerblading into the city. It takes 15 minutes with the train, shouldn’t take thaaat long to rollerblade in right??...but then Nyko destroyed my images by saying: ”your rollerblades are at my place right?”
Right, damn they are...

Ok, so I went to the trainstation in bon heure, right after I took Mattis to school, so that I would make sure I got to my french class.
It went faster than I thought it would do! surprised, I just waited for bad news to arrive.
Of course when I arrive in Pantin, the guard tells me, that was the last train in and out this morning. So the next train I would have to take would be at 5 in the evening. And that wouldn’t work since I have to pick up Mattis at 4 p.m!! I was all stressed this morning thinking if I would be able to make it if I RAN home, or I don’t know, maybe lifted with one of those disgusting, horny piggmen driving the trucks right outside the school...
Well, anyway I came to the conclusion that I could call Jimmy to pick m up, my neighbour who also has a crush on me. I didn’t like the idea that I used him... oh, well I was desperate...

But now I finaly find out how french people still keep their physical feature fit and healthy although they eat all that cheese, baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat and drink all that wine.
They just simply have strikes every other month. Because the consequences of the strikes are that the streets are just full of people rollerblading, biking, skateboarding, running.
I think that’s just a wake up call from the diet cliniques...:)
I think it’s funny how you see businessmen with their suites rolling up their socks over the pants and use their jogging shoes :) Makes me so happy!

Just an ordinary day

Started off my day, with Chrystel waking me up at 7:30...I fell asleep at 3:30 in the morning and was suuuper tired. I just had to finish my french CV and coverletter. My french writing skills are not that good, I wonder if the employer is even gonna consider accepting my CV...Well, we’ll see, at least I smile at my picture :)))

So the french class went well. I love the teacher she’s awesome, fun, and talk fast, which is really good for me.
Most of the people in the class are aupairs, I am apparently almost the only one which is happy with my family.
I mean of course I can get tired of staying with the family, but that’s not because of them, it’s because of being an aupair.
But what did theese girls actually expect of the life as an aupair, of course you’re not walking on clouds all the time. You have to move in with a totally strange family, you have to adapt to their life and habits. You take care of kids, who we all know can act as monsters 85% of the time. Of course it can be hell! But that’s just something that should be clear.
