Im happy we have a warm appartement

It's really raining a lot here, which makes you wanna stay inside most of the time, and when you wake up at 14h everyday like we do, you tend to come outside the door when everything is about to close.
We went to the art museum Boijmans von Beuningen today, where they had old, classical art, and new contemporary installations. This time it was The Art Of Fashion, which was kind of interesting, but we got to that part just in time for the museum to close, so I just took some snapshots of some of the creations. Which is kind of sad. Because I really wanted to see it.
But its really boring that everything close at 18h at latest. The museums closed at 17h.(and I thought Paris was closing early) So we havent had time to do anything, but at the same time its been very relaxing to not do anything in particular. It makes you miss the stress a little bit, to be honest.
We are going to Amsterdam tomorrow, hopefully theres something to do there for the tourists for the New Years eve.

Rotterdam

It's great to know that you have an appartement in a cold city like Rotterdam.
There is not that much to do during the 25th and 26th, everything is closed and it's really cold, so we have stayed in a lot of the time. Sleeping a lot, that I haven't done at all during this semester, but we have decided to work a little bit tonight, I have schoolwork to do over the vacation and Adrien has his exams right after the vacation.
We are really looking forward to get to Amsterdam though. But as usual Im always amusing myself with my camera!

the worse is over

After been spending the whole night awake working on my collar for the spring fashionshow, I woke up this morning with sleepingmarks on the right side of my face(I fell asleep on the desk), red eyes, and bodypain everywhere. It hurts to sit down for 10hours straight holding a cutter!
Today was a very important visionnage, which means we had to show or 2 suggestions for the spring fashionshow, and the teachers says if it can be shown or not.
It turned out pretty good, I don't have to change very much on my work. So now I only have to do a dress and make lace out of 12 m of fabric, jihuuuu!!

grilled

WE've been working on the fashionshow that we're having in April and it's not going very well...
We've been working on it since 3 weeks back, and not until now the director for the school comes in and says "What are you guys doing???"
Well, apparently we've totaly gone the wrong direction so that means we have to start all over again and be done in 2 weeks. Even our teacher looked like she was gonna freak out, because I don't think it was clear to her either.
AND tons of home work during christmas vacation. YEY!!

absent

I didn't realize I've been absent since the 16th of november. I've barely had time to cook, so that means no time writing either, which is sad.
I literaly eat toast or yoghurt and musli every evening, because Im either too tired, or just have no time.

It's only 3 weeks left until vacation! So looking forward to be sleeping. Even when I'm free I have to wake up at 8 so I have time to do my homework, and no siestas inthe afternoon either!

I'm looking for inspiration to the spring fashionshow, it's going in the theme Sport Romantique.
And I just found these jackets, which reminded me of our first project with the t-shirt and all the gatherings..

Stress!

A lot of work for the class in patternmaking! I'm getting distressed!
Yesterday, I went out with Phedre ( a classmate) we went to Marché st.pierre to look for natural fabrics such as cotton, flax, wool,silk...The fabric here in Paris is very expensive, so when school ask us to make a book with fabric samples, it's very hard. I'm not gonna spend 10€ on a fabric I'm just gonna use in a my sample book.
My friend Tomoko had a stocksale in her boutique Kokon To Zai. So we passed by, and Phedre got herself a pair of shoes, Then I found a pink wig for Cojean's birthday party. Very..weird...
Anyways, I need to go back to work!

WOW...just WOW..

I'm just soooo happy, I can't even describe how happy I am.
I mean to see all theese people coming to help me and Juliana moving out from the appartement... it almost teared me up.
The people from Vamos Capoeira are not just like any other people, they are there, they are happy, and we do it all together, they could do anything that would be hard and annoying and they would make it to something joyful!
I mean to see all the shit we had in the appartement this morning I freaked out!
But then suddenly 19h, I hear Juliana saying ok, so wee have one truck and 4 cars....huh???
Jeez, yesterday we had nothing, now we have all the capoeristes from vamos Capoeira coming helping. Im just so happy to have theese people as my friends. Seriously it is NOT often you meet people like theese!...

Lit démonté

So the mezzanine is now down, and.....

Fête de demenagement

Ok, so rdv à 18h, the whole capoeira team is coming over to help. Aren't they adorable!...Love and peace

hmm, adress: Champs Elysée...doesn't sound too bad!

I visited an appartement this morning, at Rue Washington. It's a street crossing champs elysée. It's an old couple that has a flat on the 4th floor, and they also own a 5th floor which is connected to their appartement, but it has it's own entrance.
It's really cozy. It has a real kitchen, a bathroom, with a bathtub, but there is also a shower, so no queus! There's a german girl living there and a french guy.
The landlord said that if I was interested in the room he would stop the visits.
So monday morning I have a meeting with my bank, to discuss papers regarding caution and all that.
I really hope everything works out. If I can live there, I wouldn't really complain. I mean I would literaly live 2 seconds from Champs Elysée, and it's really calm.
The landlord is really funny, it's an old couple. I got my unexpected coughing attack and he asked me what I wanted, I said water would be just fine, but he got so stressed and all he could find was a bottle of wine next to him so he poured me a glass of wine and said " hmm, this could do well too you know"
Anyways, now im just wondering what I'm gonna do theese 2 next months...live ont he street?

Race problems

I don't think I have ever talked to so many anonymous racists as I've had this past month...I never hear anyone saying racist comments even as a joke when I'm in Sweden. but here OMG, I get to see a racist France, and it's not pretty, it's not necessarily to me it's mostly to black people, but it doesn't matter, it's kind of disturbing and shocking, and I don't even know how to respond to it. If they think they are being funny, they are wrong, because I seriously don't get the fun part of it!
I decided to go to the swedish church the other day, I wanted to look for appartement ads. Of course most of the ads on the bulletin boeard was from people that was looking for appartements and not renting it out. BUT I found this guy that said he had a room. There was no phonenumber, just an email adress. He responds to my email by writing

"attention, je ne veux pas de personne couleur africain ou cameroun.."

I was stunned. So I didn't respond to his email. Then I get an email from him saying he was waiting downstairs for me to come and visit. And I write him back and said I never confirmed the visit and that I was disturbed by his email. Then he says:

"If you are swedish or asian it's fine, as long as you have white skin!"

HUH???!! Like that's gonna help!
And the funny part is, his french is much worse than mine!
I'm feeling weird....

gingertea+toast

I'm going on my autumn diet now when I feel slightly rusty.
I bought this amazing ginger tea in a chinese store. It doesn't taste very good, but what do you expect, it's ginger.
I'm just looking forward to an afternoon where I can spend in my bed watching a stupid tv-show and just drink gingertea and have toast with honey and cinnamon....
Today is the last day of Salon de Marriage, I love going through Bois de Vincennes now when all the leaves have different colours, green, yellow, orange, red. I just love FALL!
My vacation is starting in 24h...And I'm looking forward to be doing all the homework we have, but on my own rythm. Although I'm a bit afraid I'm going to shoot everything up til last minute...NO, I can't!

Salon de Marriage

This is the fashionshow of Salon de Marriage, which me and some friends from the class are helping out with.

The world is very tiny! Laetitia and me went to Ballet Junior in Geneva together, and just by coincidence we're finding each other at the same fashionshow...

A long evening

Yesterday me and Adrien went to see Ruban Blanc, a very dark movie.

We were walking down the street and saw a 2 seat couch by Place de Clichy. We sat down, watched the people pass by, We ordered Pizza. Then we decided to take the coach with us. In the metro. Lucky there are nice and helpful people in Paris, to help us lifting it up over the grill.
So now we have a two-seat couch, for free!

courage! J-1

I haven't been sleeping for 2 weeks now, all I look forward to is vacation!
It starts friday evening, although we have A LOT of work during the vacation, I'm just looking forward to be able to sleep until 11 and then work in my own rythm.
This weekend I'm assisting a bridal fashionshow. Although it is going to be interesting I was looking forward to be sleeping this weekend.
Appartement searching is going soso. We visited a nice appartement this evening, we thought we had it, until a couple of families and another man came to visit the same evening. So we'll just have to wait and see.
I need to continue working for the TEXTIL class tomorrow.

huff! It's amazing how little you can have luck on your side...

This day have been no more than a waste of time.
During the pause I ran to the art supply store to get a white board. I felt a bit stressed because it was during lunch and I didn't have my breakfast so I really wanted to have a calm lunch.
You know how when you get to the cashierpoint, you have two cashiers on each side, and you don't really know which one to choose...
Well this lady before me had like 50 markers up on the counter, and I was about to say "well the cashier is not gonna tic every single o.....when she started to register each single marker, and continued.
So I changed cashier, and this lady was as fast as a dead snail. I couldn't believe it, and she really had to be superpolite to the lady infront, helping her with her bag and waiting until she was gone before she started to take my stuff. "
3,50€, s'il vous plaît" I take up my card and she goes: No c'est trop peu.
URGH!! No sign in the store there is a card limit WTF....she shows me where the nearest ATM machine is, I run over to the other side of the street, have 2 cars beeping at me because I was about a milimeter away from my own death!
I reach the ATM machine store and it says: PAS DISPONIBLE
OK!...
I ask 2 women about the closest ATM machine, they don't know.
I see a small Societé General sign far away, I go there and I wait for a while for the traffic light to turn green and finaly it does, I stand in line to the ATM, and I see a BNP banque across the street, yey I cross the street again, and I finaly get my money.
I run back to the art store, stressed and everybody looks at me like I'm the most evil person in the world. I ask about my stuff that their colleague put aside for me, and they go "well, you should know where she put it!" huh?? Well, ok, i'm not even gonna go there bitches...
I pay, I show my student ID card to get my 15% reduction, the lady behind the cashier take a long look at our handmade student card(seriously the school could make a bit more effort to make us real cards...)
I run back to class and arrive just in time, and I have a banana for lunch!

Our TEXTILE teacher has a bit of a hard time explaining to us what we're doing, which makes us not very concentrated in class. No one is prepared with the right materials and so on. Which causes us, tired in the afternoon walking around in the studio talking instead, I think she got pretty tired of us, but I have to say it's not totaly our fault. This class is apparently new, and our year is the first one that has this subject, probably why it's a bit vague. So not being productive in class leads to even more HOMEWORK!!! ugfh....I feel like my eyes are popping out soon...very soon...

First model we have to hand in

I sat up the whole night last night making my "thing" for the modelisme class.
As I've mentioned we had to make a top out of 3 XL t-shirts and the theme was gathers.
So my first top that I've showed you wasn't at all in the theme, and my teacher Tuan said that it just didn't have anything to do with what we we're doing...I seriously felt hopeless.
So last night I spent 7h coming up with this thing...:P
